Hr4Charities has developed a set of Human Resources Audit Services. These services not only assist organisations in dealing with the risks associated with increased compliance requirements, but also the challenges in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the HR function.

1. Free Basic HR Audit
This our free service for charities, it involves a basic tick box Audit exercise to check to ensure whether the right legislative and best practice policies are in place; following this we review and identify the areas for development with a report which includes recommendation for implementation.
2. HR Compliance Audit
Employment legislation in England and Wales is extensive and complex and a potential risk area for employers. Are you aware of your duties as an employer under employment legislation for example?
- Terms of Employment (Information) Act, 1994-2001
- Working Time Act, 1998,2003, 2004
- Employment Rights Act 1996
Following a Compliance Audit, you can be confident that the likelihood of an employment-related case has been significantly reduced, and that your organisation will be well equipped to manage any employment-related complaints or allegations and ensure compliance on an ongoing basis.
3. HR Best Practice Audit
For organisations ready to advance their HR function to a higher level of efficiency and effectiveness, the HR Best Practice Audit includes a review of your HR activities from a best practice and strategic perspective.
This exercise also includes a comprehensive review of you HR processes, including for example:
- Employee communication and employee relations
- Training and development practices
- Performance management system
Following a HR Best Practice Audit, you can be confident that not only will your HR practices be fully compliant but that a series of measures to improve the efficiency and performance of your HR function, the development and retention of your talented employees and the improvement of employee performance management have been identified.
You can choose to have a compliance or best practice only audit or combine the two together.
